This is my second assignment this year.. Not too long ago, i received an inquiry from the bride’s sister, inquiring my availability to cover her wedding in September. Unfortunately i had to let her down as the date falls the same date as my wedding! Ironically, its also held in Subang Jaya, same nikah day and same reception day!

Months after, I was approached by someone with an almost similar name inquiring my availability in January. And that’s her sister, Nadheera. This time I definitely not letting her down. Fortunately the venue is in Subang Jaya. I just got back from hubby’s surprise trip to Singapore. A very tiring indeed fun experience. I was still in a holiday mood but work is work. I have to conserve my fullest energy and mind to this assignment.

Make up and deco by Lova, I don’t remember how many times I have work with her. And this definitely not the second or third times.. Multiple times! As I keep mentioning, wedding brings people together not only bride and groom but people behind the scenes.

Reception took place in The Club, Bukit Utama. My eyes were glued as I entered the ballroom. It was simple yet divine deco with a touch of fairy tales i assumed? The buffet area is a stall-like setting. Nasi briyani menu was accompanied with Nasi Dagang Terengganu to complete the main dish, side with cendol, fruits and chocolate fondue. burp!

I just got back from my short singapore trip. Had so much fun at Universal Studios, still lacking of sleep and rest.. this morning i was assigned to capture Nadheera and Mustaqeem’s solemnization. Solemnization was held in Masjid Al Falah, USJ 9. Looking divinely sweet, she looks like an Iranian girl, according to Lova her makeup artist. To Nad and Qeem, welcome to the club.. am sure he is is the one for you and all the best in the department of marriage. Be a good wife and have lots of kids insyaAllah.. See ya tomorrow at the club for another highlight of the event!

Its been a great year for me.. Its been very meaningful to share happiness and spread love through my career. It has been nothing better being blessed with this talent and share my creativity with family, friends, a total stranger that became friends and future friends.. I have to say, all my clients become my friends.. some are returning clients, some are new ones recommended by old ones. And its been great to meet old clients at new clients events. Its a blessing to see the circle moving and getting bigger and bigger.

2011 was also a great year for me as after all these years shooting weddings, i finally get to celebrate my own wedding! This is a valuable experience and it opens my eyes, my heart more in getting a different perspective on how the wedding ceremony itself as in a bride’s shoes. I know what exactly bride wants, their feelings, their emotions and how they love to be perceived during her big day. Do i sound bias by addressing “her” all the time.. but yeah, admit it.. the focus of a wedding ceremony is always to the bride.. agree? lol.

Anyways, I would like to take this great opportunity on the first day of 2012 to wish my previous and potential clients and also you the silent followers of Marshmallow Arts & Photography a great success and prosperity. Let us be a better human beings than we were yesterday. I love you all and thank you for the supports!

Ayse Hafsa is 2! This is my 3rd time (if i can still remember) shooting at Kizports Gym. Only this time in Bangsar Village. Fuhh.. penat! Kids gone crazy running around.. who wouldn’t? But it was a fun day anyway.. I bet moms had and dads had fun too! Happy 2nd birthday to Ayse!

she booked me for quite some time. so, last week was the day they have been waiting for. Suraya and Effy was engaged on the 10th December, witnessed by relative and close friends. She loves everything seasoned and vintage so, I have added a pinch of vintage on her memorable days. Hope you like it darl! To effy and Su, you look awesome in blue.. and its totally fine to be at the playground and feel young at times! You guys are cute!

A couple months ago, i was there to witness and capture Intan’s engagement ceremony. Early this month i was there again to capture another important chapter of their lives. Looking divinely elegant in grey, both Lt. Kol. Reizal Arif Ismail and Intan walk confidently on the isle and glued all eyes on them. The simple ceremony went so well.. I’m sure you guys can’t exhale a sigh of relief now and enjoy your honeymoon. To Datoks nd Datins of both family, thank you for having me apart of the big day.. congratulations!

The solemnization was held at Wisma Perwira Semboyan DiRaja, Ampang. I was mesmerized with the whole deco setup.. the whole idea was awesome! Guests get to witness the whole event in a comfy spacious with beautiful decoration of Moroccan Arabian themed. Fiza, you are awesome! Its a small event but very merry with the presence of close friends and relatives. The food was awesome, the wedding favors are also beautiful.. Everything went so well and well planned. To Fiza and Yazid, congratulations..

About 3 weeks ago, i was hired by Fina and Jojo for their double celebration, their crazy, wacky Mad Hatter Baby Shower Party. Fina was a week due at that time. Last weekend i was again there to celebrate the newborn Hud Amanatullah (MasyaAllah what a beautiful name!). He was 9 days old and the lucky couple, Fina & Nassir decided to do Majlis Bertahnik (Belah Mulut) and Aqiqah for their precious son.

Credits to Wikipedia, “Majlis Bertahnik atau Majlis Belah Mulut merupakan upacara sunat yang diharuskan dalam Islam. Setelah bayi dilahirkan, mulutnya harus dibelah menggunakan kurma atau manisan. Campuran kurma dan air zam zam yang sudah dihancurkan dibacakan ayat suci Al-Quran oleh orang warak atau ustaz lalu melalukan kurma tersebut di bibir bayi dan menggosokkannya ke dalam mulut bayi dan lelangitnya sehingga ke pangkal rongga tekak bayi.

Tujuan bertahnik adalah untuk menguatkan saraf mulut bayi bagi persediannya untuk menghisap susu dengan sempurna. Ia juga untuk mendapat keberkatan dari orang orang alim dan ulama semoga kelak dia akan menjadi seorang yang beriman dan soleh apabila dewasa.”

The ceremony was then followed with Aqiqah and Marhaban from the Muslimah group. Baby was behaved the whole day as he was soundly asleep most of the time. To Fina and Nassir, congratulations on the newborn!

Its worth the wait. Perhaps the best quote to describe about this special relationshipd of Fitri and Zaid. This couple has been going out with no serious commitment for 7 years. I guess friendship gives them a strong foundation before stepping into another stage of relationship. It takes a no brainer to tell that they are so in love now! The smile, the gestures shows great bonding between these two lovebirds. Fitri was proposed by Zaid a year ago and they were engaged in March this year. Who would have thought a friend’s introduction brought them together today as a man and wife.

I was assigned as co photographer for SAFFANDI PHOTO for their client FItri & Zaid. Event was held at their beautiful crib in Lakeview, Hyatt Saujana Resort. The solemnization was witnessed  by family, relatives and close friends. Oh did i mention the Ustaz who was incharged to tie this knot was the same Ustaz who did mine? By the way, to the beautiful couple Fitri and Zaid, congratulations for the stepping into another phase of life. May Zaid leads the family as a good husband and a good father to their beautiful children in the future, InsyaAllah.

i love themed weddings or simply any events with precised details. Saying so as i am a detailed person myself. Right now here right in Malaysia, we are now beginning to be influenced by the westerns style. credits to  googles, and not to mention martha stewart and such! Colors, materials, concepts, details are the next in thing. And this brought me to my second themed baby shower event which falls under the same theme but of course with a different crowd and chaos! lol. Mad-Hatters is back!! (checkout my previous mad-hatters event) I love it when gals, moms sisters, bffs get together in an event with no other but their own species. Everyone had fun, the joy and laughter shared among them are simply priceless and shall be kept treasured.

This time it was held at Flora Cafe, Ampwalk plaza. The moment i entered into the cafe my eyes were hypnotized with the beautiful setting and it reminded me of one of the wedding i shot. The ambiance was breathtaking! At the end of the session i happened to know from the cafe manager that the owner of the cafe was the same guy who did the arrangement for my client’s wedding. Razak Ahmad from flora etc! To those who thinks of having a small party, i strongly recommend this place. It saves you the hassle of planning a deco. You have the planner in da house!

Thanks to Wanana, a friend and an old study mate to allow me to be apart of the celebration of 2 mommies, Fina & Jojo. They are popping out really soon with a bundle of joy.. Enjoy the photos girlsss!!

The moment Rizal called me and told about his wedding, i knew its gonna be another interesting and personal event to shoot. It will be held at the rooftop lounge area of Sime Darby Convention Center, seats only around 100 guests. I love event with small capacity, not because less work to do.. but i get to capture the essence of it. Bride and grooms gets more up close and personal while mingling with close family and friends. This is how its supposed to be, right? (Talking through my experience during my wedding recently.. sigh i did not get the chance to mingle more).

When I met Rizal and his wife (already a wife since they were solemnized in Sydney months ago) I was intrigued once again as his wife is a Korean lady. How interesting

Alice (bride) works in a Korean company based in Malaysia. They met each other about a year ago and decided to solemnize in Sydney. Rizal is in finance background and works in an oil and gas industry.. I am sure they do have an interesting love story to tell to their kids. And who wouldn’t turn their head twice for such a lovely lady like Alice. And I am blessed once again to be the witness of this beautiful ceremony that bring two cultures together and to celebrate the love of Rizal and his beautiful Korean bride. Alice’s family was flown from Korea with their traditional Korean attire and made this event more beautiful, more merrier..They made a grand entrance after Rizal’s parents and followed with the lil Alesya beautifully dressed in Korean kids’s traditional attire throwing petals ushering her father the bride. Datin Paduka Zaitoon, Rizal’s mother is so blessed to be surrounded with family and beautiful grand children from mix marriages. Rizal’s siblings are also married to Swiss and Iranian partner. Ok enough said, checkout this beautiful chapter of Rizal and Alice..
