This was not my first visit to putrajaya. Infact, even not my first time shooting the mosque of Putrajaya. But this time we decided to catch a glimpse of the dome during sunset. But i guess not much of a sunset..

By the way, its not going to be my last one, and more of KL’s icon building to shoot.

29th December 2007 – Dr Siti and Ruzaime in action for an outdoor portraiture. The weather was on our side. The sky was blue and they were in a mood to smile for the camera. With a perfect weather, beautiful scenery and a gorgeous attire, they don’t actually need to pose.

02nd February 2008 – Ohh.. first of all, don’t be deceived by the headline image! This ain’t bomoh or shaman. On the same date as the Aqiqah event i covered, I had another assignment of solemnization later in the evening. I was lucky that the family side decided to meet me somewhere and guide to my client’s house in sentul. Sentul has not always been a very ‘friendly’ area for me. Navigationally, I’ll be lost. It was raining, and the traffic was really bad but i managed to reach to my client’s place on time just before the ‘pak andam’ arrived.

Makeup and bride preparation has always been my favourite. Capturing the magical transformation is just my thing. This time, the preparation is a bit different from the other bride’s makeup session i did. This is the REAL TRADITIONAL way of andam. The bride-to-be was asked to ‘mandi bunga’ as apart of the process. Its to prevent curse and to outshines the glow of the bride from within (tolak bala and naik seri). The pak andam prayed some ritual (doa and selawat) as he cut the lime before he mixed it with flower petals and a pail of water.

The rest of the solemnization process is just as similar to other solemnizations. Here are some teasers of Nor and Jaafar’s solemnization. Did i mention they are police couple? Jangan saman saya pak! Just kidding.. By the way, congratulations to the couple and special thanks to kak farra.

02nd February 2008 - This date is a special date for lil baby Myreen. And I was honored to be the witness of a young beautiful couple Zai & Affandi for their newborn’s Majlis Cukur Jambul. A serene ritual event of marhaban and berzanji break the silence to welcome beautiful Myreen to the world.
