August 22, 2009i am not a guy.
August 20, 2009“Good job bro !
Dear Mr Fatini..
Dude, you take good photos!”
Yes, i get this a lot. People have been mistaken my gender and assumed i’m a guy. Not by the way i look but in emails when we get acquainted for the first time. I know photography has been dominated by male and majority of ‘em are males! But trust me, i look so much like a lady.. i love dressing up like one! And i love men.
Yes, i don’t put my profile picture in my official website, but if you are not lazy enough to google my name you can find me on myspace, facebook and what not.. i do camwhore as much as other girls love to! haha.
To locals and non locals especially out there (whom are not too familiar with Malaysian names..) and have been addressing me as a male, Fatini is a girl’s name. And the one with camera in this pic is who else but me!
Gracias!

Lin + Adzim – Reception (part one)
August 12, 2009I always ask my client how they met each other. Every clients have their own interesting story.. so does lin and adzim. There is so much coincidence in their life as a couple. It looks like they trully meant for each other.. and it proves how small the world is! Let me begin with both parents. Lin’s father is a lecturer, so does adzim’s. Both fathers are good friends too. (no its not an arranged marriage!) Both of their mothers are also teachers. Lin and Adzim used to be in a same kindy in penang. Somehow their friends are mutual friends whose coincidentally related in some ways.
They met again in KL and started a more serious relationship before Adzim proposed Lin to be his soulmate. How sweet! Lin, am i allowed to tell how Adzim proposed you? Hahah.. i guess let that be theirs to keep. They got engaged a year ago and this year they are legally man and wife.
Weird? There’s no weird thing when it comes to true love. Thats their power of love!

The fabulous hampers!
August 12, 2009Lets leave wedding for one day.. I have been soaking my eyes ogling over my wedding clients’ photos for weeks! Ahahah, sometimes i just need a different environment for a day or two before the same routine continues.. My eyes speaks hunger looking at those delicacies. Tummy was growling as the photoshoot goes.. This is my first atempt on shooting hampers. At first i thought its just as almost similar as shooting pics of hantarans.. I was wrong.. it was waaaayy harder than i thought. I used 3 flashguns, 1 to highlight the items and 2 on each side to kill shadows.. It ain’t easy. Shooting took almost 10 hours and editing took about 3 hours to make it more presentable. The power of Photoshop is unquestionable! I got home at 3am.. Backache.. but it was worth the effort. Thank you Intan Sachet for the the full coorperation and warm hospitalisation. I must say, the cookies are delicious! For those whose looking for gifts and hampers for hari raya or just some delicious modern and traditional biscuits.. Intan Sachet is to go for! They are opening a booth at BSC and Subang Parade somewhere this month to promote their products..

Aziz + Ayu – Equatorial Hotel, Bangi
August 11, 2009i was lost in a middle of estate for almost an hour. Have to admit my weakness when it comes to directions! However, i always make it on time or earlier to my client’s site. So, for someone like me, leave home early is the trick! I have never been to Equatorial Bangi. My first impression when i first soak my eyes on the landscape.. wow.. nice hotel.
I missed the rehearsal but the first thing was to check on my bride. The makeup artist wasn’t there yet so i wandered around the ballroom to check on the banquet settings and the bridal dais. BEAUTIFUL! We (the crew and family) get the chance to have the buffet first before the event starts. I think thats the best approach.. damage control i shall say. Food was scrumptious! Later, i peeked into the room and checkout on my bride. The bride was a lil antsy even though this is the second reception (the groom side) after the solemnization, but the instrumental song keeps us a pleasant company. It brings out the mood.. everything was perfect. What more can i ask where you have nice client, beautiful bride and groom, the sunset and a smooth well managed event. To Ayu and Aziz, congratulation and thank you!
definitely more photos coming up!
