Becoming a foodie?

February 18, 2010

I love to eat. But I don’t have time to cook. I’m always keen in doing a simple cooking with beautiful garnish.

This is something I’m looking forward to do. Food photography. It looks easy, but its so damn tricky. To make food looks tempting is not as easy as pressing the shutter. But i took the challenge this time. Thanks to Attick Multimedia for giving me the opportunity.

We planned to hold it in a studio at first, but apparently we had to change location as my client told me the food needs to be cook and prepared. The photoshoot took place at my client’s resident finally.

Again, i have expected the long hour and the tricky part. Photographing food is very technical. You have to consider the ambiance, considering natural or artificial lighting and everything is manual. I know there’s a lot more to learn.. I’m a newbie in this area but I’m loving it. This is something i want to do again and again. Not forgetting, we get to eat the food too :)

Okay, besides photographing, i do have a cat. This little hairy creature will wait in front of the gate till i come back from a photoshoot even late night. I can clearly see her sparkling and glowing eyes moving from far even though i cant see her dark fur. Some say she looks like a mogwai from the gremlins. Haha. i couldn’t agree more. She can be irritating but yet she’s still my lil darling. She’ll curl around my feet and sleep close to me while i’m doing my work. Today, i gave her a new haircut. I think she deserves a grooming after a month without shower. Sorry lil lolly, boss is busy!

by the way, its not easy photographing her because she always face his back in front of a camera. lazy cat.

Coffeetable anyone?

My first corporate coffee table book i did for Malakoff. I love how contemporary it looks as compared to the traditional custom storyboard album.Lightweight and very mobile. A bit costly i might say.. But not too suitable for wedding couples who want their memories to last longer due to the tendency to crumple and smear. On the other hand, the cons of traditional custom storyboard album limits to 22 pages and heavier/bulkier. But bear in mind the advantage is it lasts longer, fully laminated, can easily be wiped off due to dirt and liquid. Its all depends on your purpose and preference! Contact me for details!
